Due mostly to continued low natural gas prices, Entergy Mississippi customers will see rates temporarily drop again this year. Beginning in April, the typical residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt hours per month will pay $10.88 less, or just over $82, keeping rates well below the national average.
Customers of Entergy Mississippi, Inc. will see yet another rate reduction in the fall, this one due to lower-than-expected natural gas prices. Starting with the September billing cycle, typical residential customers using 1,000 kilowatt hours per month will pay $101.81, approximately $6.50 less than is currently charged.
